Autumn fabrics
Here are a few new fabrics I’ve been working on, featuring new dyes and colours to evoke the changing seasons of the English countryside, specifically late summer to autumn. The turning of the leaves, trees swaying in the wind, late summer storms, rain splattered puddles, dappled sunlight through branches.
Shades of…
Sage, ochre, rust, berry, burgundy, terracotta, mauve, mint, pistachio, slate grey, plum, heather, olive, fig
This quote by the ceramist Adam Buick also really inspired the current work I’m producing…
‘As with the natural world, beauty is often found where there is tension between rugged and soft, pattern and arbitration, perfection and imperfection. When making you can’t control perfection nor contrive imperfection, but somewhere between lies beauty.’
