EMW x Liberty Spring Textile Collection 2021
In late 2020 the head interiors buyer at Liberty of London, Bryony Sheridan, contacted me through Instagram and asked if I’d be interested in creating an exclusive spring collection for them. As you can imagine, I was overjoyed and very surprised! I worked at Liberty throughout my time at university in London, as a sales assistant in the home ware department and loved every single item that was for sale there. Liberty always has the most beautiful, eclectic curation of pieces, which is a testament to Bryony and the whole team.
I spent the first few months of 2021 busily making the collection, to be ready for its spring launch date. It was quite stressful but I felt very grateful to be working, and doing something I love during the pandemic and third lockdown.
The collection includes linen tablecloths, napkins and cushions all naturally dyed and hand painted in a variety of colours; yellow, pink, purple and green. Inspired by the natural landscape and the promise of spring. These textiles were designed to bring joy and a sense of escapism to all, something that’s definitely needed after the year we’ve had!
