All This Wrath at Blue Shop Gallery, until 3rd March
An exhibition exploring wrath in all its forms, and how these 15 emerging painters find solace in putting paint to canvas (board, paper, or fabric). An expressive, vivid, jarring, complex, and perfectly curated show, combining an array of talent in two rooms - each piece giving a voice to the creator, putting intangible feelings into physical reality. In this world of chaos, anxiety, fear, and violence, thank goodness for art and creativity; giving us hope, joy and much needed respite from the current state of affairs. For me the standout works were paintings by Jemima Moore, Fergus Polglase, Claire Shakespeare and Emma Todd. A collection showing an amalgamation of emotions; anger, fear, frustration, but in each there were also glimpses of hope.
